Immediately on the right as you reach the junction of SR 776 with US 41.

Family dining with wide range of home cooked meals. Good value for money.

Captain's Table

Fisherman's Village, Punta Gorda, 637-1177 ext 113

Lunch until 3pm, dinner from 5pm. Fabulous setting overlooking the harbour. Exquisite food. Children's menu. Highly recommended. You can even moor your boat at the restaurant.

Carrabba's Italian Grill

1811 North Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte 743-5299

Excellent menu, wonderful friendly atmosphere, brilliant value for money. Children's menu available. Good for vegetarians.

Farlow's

2080 S McCall Rd 474-5343 Tropical dining with a Caribbean theme on the water. Excellent food and very good value. Large range of dishes and good children's menu. Highly recommended.

Johnny Leverock's

7092 Placida Road, Cape Haze 698-6900

Fantastic seafood. Their motto is "Remember, "If it's fresher than Leverock's, it's still swimming."" They even do popcorn shrimp on the children's menu!

Mama's

2091 S. McCall Road, Englewood, 475-5656

Italian restaurant. Well worth a visit. Get there early as it gets busy. Closed Sunday and does not accept credit or debit cards.

Olive Garden

1341 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, 625-8807

Immediately on the right as you reach the junction of SR 776 with US 41.

Fabulous value for money and excellent Italian food. Children's menu available. Good for vegetarians.

Outback Steak House

On the right hand side as you head South on US 41 towards Fort Myers.

Great for steaks obviously. Brilliant atmosphere. Good value and large portions. Children's menu available. Not much choice for vegetarians.

Pizza Hut

Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte

On the left hand side as you head South on US 41 towards Fort Myers.

Their lunch time buffet from 11.30am-1.30pm gives particularly good value for money. Children's menu available. Recommended for vegetarians.

South Beach Restaurant

777 Gulf Blvd. (South End), Boca Grande, 964-0765

Casual dining overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Excellent food, dine indoors or outside right on the beach. Time it right and watch the fabulous sunset as you eat. Children's menu available. Booking advised. Here is the beach behind the restaurant:
